Final Round Interview with Nicolai Hojgaard
Q. You've reached special temporary membership on the PGA TOUR, something I'm sure you've been working really, really hard towards. What is this moment like for you?
NICOLAI HOJGAARD: I mean, at the moment I don't know. I just finished off quite poorly, so quite disappointed at the moment, but happy with the special temporary membership. I didn't really have it in mind going in the season and suddenly last week changed a little bit and then this week. So very happy with it, yeah.
Q. You played very well last week and were able to do it, I know you didn't finish the way you wanted to, but were able to do enough this week. Describe what the last two weeks have been like in your game and managing the opportunity and the emotions that come with that.
NICOLAI HOJGAARD: Last week was a solid, like really solid week overall. All aspects of the game was good. Then this week was a completely different golf course, it's a tight golf course with different wind directions all the time, firm greens, so it was a very difficult week for me. I drove the ball poorly all week and managed to get around somehow, but it's been two good weeks in the States and I'm looking forward to coming back again.
Q. How does this change your plans moving forward versus what you had planned for yourself kind of in the beginning of the year?
NICOLAI HOJGAARD: We definitely have to, when I get home, try and figure out what we're going to do from now. It's a great opportunity and I think we'll definitely chase it over here going forward. It's been two good weeks and looking forward to the rest of the season.
Q. I'm wondering what you've learned through those last two weeks when you have a goal in front of you. Today was obviously a little disappointing, but you got the job done. How are you feeling?
NICOLAI HOJGAARD: I'm feeling good. I didn't have it in mind really all day, but when somebody mentioned it, yeah, I was really happy with it. Honestly can't wait to come back and play again.
