Earlier this week new additions to the 2026 player field were announced, including the Masters Tournament invitees World No. 19 Alex Noren, No. 26 and last year’s 2nd place finisher Ryan Gerard, No. 28 Si Woo Kim, No. 39 Marco Penge, No. 49 Andrew Novak, who finished T3 in last year’s tournament, Sami Valimaki, Michael Kim, Nick Taylor, Haotong Li and San Antonio resident, Johnny Keefer.

Previously announced players who are also scheduled to compete in the Masters following the Valero Texas Open are: World No. 3 Tommy Fleetwood, No. 5 Justin Rose, No. 6 Collin Morikawa, No. 8 Russell Henley, No. 9 Robert MacIntyre, No. 11 Sepp Straka, No. 12 and 2022 Valero Texas Open champion J.J. Spaun, No. 13 Hideki Matsuyama, No. 17 Ludvig Åberg, and No. 25 Maverick McNealy.

Defending Valero Texas Open champion Brian Harman and previously announced Max Homa are also invited to the Masters.

Fan favorites and popular PGA TOUR players Billy Horschel, Tom Kim, Rickie Fowler, and Gary Woodland, will also be returning to San Antonio.

PGA TOUR competitors in the 132-player field have until Friday, March 27 at 4:00 p.m. Central Time to commit and can withdraw at any time.

Located between the 16th Green & 17th Tee and adjacent to the fan-friendly Backyard, guests can view the action from multiple vantage points. Offers a luxurious and entertaining environment right on top of the action at the competition's closing hole on the 18th green. One credential, three venues - the ultimate Valero Texas Open hospitality experience. All Presidential Pass holders will have unlimited access to the Centennial Club presented by SAT, Lexus Cabana Club, and ULTRA Club and all associated amenities within each venue.

General admission tickets provide access to the tournament grounds (golf course) Thursday, April 2 - Sunday, April 5, 2026.

Each year the tournament has proven that unforgettable, unexpected, and winning moments happen on and off the course. Last year we debuted defining and exciting moments leading up to tournament week. The tradition continues as such moments are celebrated in this year's Valero Texas Open commercials. Volunteer Registration is Closed

The Valero Texas Open utilizes over 2,100 volunteers across twenty-four committees to assist in staging and managing the tournament through its Volunteer Program presented by Frost Bank. Over 600 Valero employees are part of this volunteer effort.

We are pleased to say that due to popular demand and community support, volunteer shifts are all full and registration for this year's tournament is now closed.

For those interested in volunteering in 2027, you can sign up to be notified when registration opens.

Champions In Our Community

The 2025-2026 Champions fore Charity fundraising program recently hosted a Mid-Season Social on February 26 at Magnolia Pancake Halle which provided a mid-season distribution of collected funds totaling $6.3M to 69 of the participating charities. Program Ambassadors David Chancellor with WOAI News 4, Sarah Forgany with KENS 5 News, and Randy Carroll with KJ97 were on-hand to help celebrate the charities hard work, mid-season achievements, and encourage the momentum to continue strong.

Champions fore Charity has raised over $18.5M to date. Charities are striving to seek new donations before the 2026 fundraising campaign concludes on April 13. Participating organizations will receive 100% of the funds raised, plus a 7% matching gift on May 14 at the annual Celebration of Champions event.

Program Ambassador, David Chancellor with WOAI News 4 hosts a weekly segment on the morning news called "Sock It To Mondays". David is partnering with Champions fore Charity to feature two (2) charities each month on the first and third Mondays from November - May during the campaign season.
