Lexus fore A Donor

Champions fore Charity was able to provide a new donor incentive this past campaign season, thanks to its corporate supporter, North Park Lexus of San Antonio and Dominion. Through the incentive Lexus fore a Donor, one lucky donor who attended the Valero Texas Open was able to win a two-year lease on a Lexus NX.

Last week on Friday, July 12, representatives from the dealership along with Valero Texas Open staff, were able to surprise donor, Jerry Hernandez, at TPC San Antonio. Mr. Hernandez was completely surprised and elated at such a grand prize.

Honoring Heroes In Our Community
The Valero Texas Open hosted Happy Hour for Heroes on Wednesday, June 26. This event was held to acknowledge the sponsors who supported this year's Night to Honor Our Heroes presented by Boeing military appreciation gala, and to celebrate the military-focused charitable organizations who benefitted from this year's event. The intimate gathering was held at the Kirby’s Prime Steakhouse where more than $224,000 in net proceeds from Night to Honor Our Heroes were distributed to fourteen charitable recipients.

Golf Competition in 2024 Olympics
Image
The men’s Olympic golf competition will take place Aug. 1-4, while the women will compete Aug. 7-10. The Olympic golf competitions will be contested at Le Golf National, which annually hosts the FedEx Open de France on the DP World Tour and was the site of the 2018 Ryder Cup.

With 32 countries represented in the men’s Olympic golf competition and 33 in the women’s field, the composition of the Olympic fields highlights the broad global interest in golf and the opportunity to reach new audiences across all six different continents. Golf is looking to continue building upon the success of the previous two Olympic golf competitions at Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020. Paris 2024 will mark the fifth occasion in which golf has been featured as an Olympic sport, and just the third time since 1904.

The men representing the United States will include Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Wyndham Clark, and Collin Morikawa. The player field will also include two-time Valero Texas Open champion, Corey Conners (2019, 2023) representing Canada. The complete player field for both men and women can be viewed here.

We wish the entire player field good luck!
