The 34-year-old Englishman, Tommy Fleetwood who had the most top 10s all-time on the PGA TOUR without a victory, won the TOUR Championship - and the season-long FedEx Cup title - for his maiden PGA TOUR win. It took 164 PGA Tour starts, 44 prior top 10 placements and six excruciating runner-up finishes, but Fleetwood on Sunday at the 2025 TOUR Championship finally made his way into the winner's circle.

His popularity soared, not just as a sympathetic figure but for his attitude and the sincere joy he showed the players that beat him in the toughest of losses. The cheers and the chants - "Tommy! Tommy! Tommy!" - he heard Sunday as he approached the 18th green at the Tour Championship provided the sweetest sound. Finally, Fleetwood."
"It's easy to say you're resilient but it's hard when you have to be," Fleetwood said. "I feel lucky I've had to show that side of myself. And I feel lucky that it's paid off."

Charities and schools seek creative ways to raise funds while minimizing risks, preventing unnecessary costs, and maximizing successful and impactful results. With that in mind, the Valero Texas Open continues to provide an opportunity to assist with fundraising strategies.
Champions fore Charity makes a 107% difference. The fundraising program is unique in that there are NO COSTS except staff time... and participating organizations receive 100% of funds generated. By simply raising a minimum of $1,000, you can earn an additional 7% match on what's collected in the program (up to an additional $10,000) provided by the Valero Texas Open and the Champions fore Charity program partners.
Funds are generated by soliciting donations from individuals and corporations with the flexibility to pay in advance or to be billed after the tournament. All types of philanthropies are welcome to participate.
