| | Volunteers: Be A Part of Something BIG | |

Was one of your New Year's resolutions to volunteer this year or become more active in the community? Or you want to do something that helps raise funds and awareness for hundreds of worthy charities? Whatever the reason, we are looking for volunteering enthusiasts with a passion to help and together create a fantastic Valero Texas Open experience for all.
The success of the Valero Texas Open is due in large part to the volunteers who give generously of their time, talent and energy through our dynamic committees. During the week, you'll make new friends, get a behind-the-scenes look at a PGA TOUR event and witness many of the world's top golfers as they compete right here in your backyard! Our volunteers play an important role in the tournament's charitable mission to raise funds and awareness for hundreds of worthy causes throughout San Antonio and the South Texas region.
As a volunteer you will receive a logoed polo, grounds access, a parking pass, meals provided during your shifts, access to the volunteer party, and more! If you volunteer 18 hours you can earn a complimentary round of golf and those who volunteer 30 hours will receive two complimentary rounds of golf at TPC San Antonio after the tournament.

This month's Volunteer Spotlight features Margaret Troyer, a part of the Practice Facility committee. Margaret enjoys the excitement of the tournament, from working with other volunteers to interacting with PGA TOUR pros and spectators. There are exactly 228 great causes, school programs, and charitable services you can support and make a 107% difference through Champions fore Charity. The fundraising program provides nonprofit organizations with a unique and engaging way to solicit donations while keeping 100% of the funds raised plus incentives, including a 7% matching gift opportunity provided by the Valero Texas Open. Donors are champions fore supporting charities. Charities are champions fore supporting our community.
| Drawing fore More Awareness |
During the campaign season, for every $500 worth of donations submitted, participating charities earn one (1) entry into the "Drawing fore More Awareness". One random organization is drawn and selected by one of our program Ambassadors. The winning charity earns $2,500 and featured in one dedicated social media post on the Champions fore Charity Facebook page. There are six (6) drawings throughout the campaign season. Program Ambassador, David Chancellor with WOAI News 4 hosts a weekly segment on the morning news called "Sock It To Mondays". David is partnering with Champions fore Charity to feature two (2) charities each month on the first and third Mondays from November - May during the campaign season.
