A Holiday Season Full of Champions
Image
There are so many great causes, school programs and charitable services you can support this holiday season which will make a 107% difference. What better way to help a charity than through, Champions fore Charity, which provides nonprofit organizations with a unique and engaging way to solicit donations while keeping 100% of the funds raised plus incentives, including a 7% matching gift opportunity provided by the Valero Texas Open.

Individuals and corporations from anywhere around the world are encouraged to participate while knowing contributions are tax deductible and are maximized through the financial incentives the Valero Texas Open provides to over 210 participating organizations from San Antonio, throughout Texas and well beyond.

Throughout the campaign season participating organizations have a chance to earn additional incentives, like the “Drawing fore More Awareness”. For every $500 worth of donations submitted, participating charities earn one (1) entry into the drawing. One random organization will be drawn and selected during a Facebook Live with one of our program Ambassadors. The winning charity will earn $2,500 and will also be featured in one dedicated social media post on the Champions fore Charity Facebook page. There are six (6) drawings throughout the campaign season. The first deadline is this Friday, December 11 to receive contributions via mail and online; and the drawing will take place on Facebook Live with David Chancellor (WOAI News 4, NBC) on Tuesday, Dec. 15.

Stay & Play Package Winner Announced
Despite the Valero Texas Open not taking place this year, Champions fore Charity remained steadfast with contributions from the community to deserving charities and school programs. The fundraising program featured a donor incentive, “Guess the Birdies” contest which provided one donor a grand prize for guessing the correct number of birdies made at the Valero Texas Open. Since there weren’t any birdies made, tournament officials conducted a random drawing amongst all the donors for a chance to win a Stay & Play Package compliments of TPC San Antonio and the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa.

The Valero Texas Open staff, along with the assistance of the charity recipient, recently notified the 2020 winner of the Guess the Birdies contest. We are pleased to announce that David & Kera Dutton generously supported Disabled Outdoorsmen USA, Inc. through Champions fore Charity and won the Stay & Play Package.

Disabled Outdoorsmen shows individuals with disabilities what they're capable of through the great outdoors. DOUSA raises funds to provide all-inclusive outdoor adventures for the disabled and their loved ones, resulting in unique experiences and lifelong memories. The Dutton’s sons recently went on a hunting excursion and are so grateful for the services provided by Weston Jenkins, Founder, from Disabled Outdoorsmen. The Dutton family recently moved from Boerne to Amarillo and are so excited to enjoy a trip back to San Antonio and enjoy the Stay & Play vacation package.
